Woman embraces her Beard

Sikh woman ditches the razor to embrace her beard
A woman who suffers from a rare condition that causes excessive hair growth has spoken of her happiness after ditching her razor and embracing her beard.

While Harnaam Kaur – who suffers from polycystic ovary syndrome – used to wax twice a week and wear baggy clothes, since being baptised as a Sikh seven years ago she has found the courage to leave her body in its natural state.

The primary school teaching assistant, now 23, said she hoped her story would help other women come to terms with their own bodies.

‘I would never ever go back now and remove my facial hair because it’s the way God made me and I’m happy with the way I am,’ Ms Kaur, from Slough, said, according to the Daily Mirror.

‘I feel more feminine, more sexy and I think I look it too. I’ve learned to love myself for who I am nothing can shake me now.’
