Premier League Predictions - Week 24

Newcastle v Sunderland [Saturday]
This is a derby, a huge derby between two local rivals.
Newcastle sold their best player to PSG during the week, Yohan Cabaye has been outstanding for them ever since he joined them. They are going to miss him a lot.

Sunderland are doing better of late, they are beginning to show signs of improvement.
On current form, judging by the places they currently occupy on the league table, you will expect Newcastle to win this game easily.
But form doesn't count in derbies. It is going to be a very tight game. But i will go for a Newcastle win because of home advantage.
Prediction: 2 - 1

Hull v Tottenham
Tottenham were completely destroyed by Man City in midweek, but i don't expect them to experience the same thing against Hull.
Hull are not finding things easy at the moment, but they are strong at home.
Prediction: 1-1

West Ham v Swansea
West Ham got a great point away at Chelsea during the week.
They defended really well in that game.
But i don't think they will be happy with a point in this game because they are at home against a Swansea team that is not particularly playing well at the moment.
They will be looking to win this game, which means they must attack The Swans.
Prediction: 2-1

Cardiff v Norwich
Cardiff are bottom of the league, this is an opportunity for them to get three points because they are playing against a team that is also struggling at the moment.

If they don't win this game, things will even get more difficult for them.
Norwich will also see this as a game they can get something from.
Prediction: 1-1

Everton v Aston Villa
Everton were thoroughly thrashed by Liverpool during the week. They were shocking in that game.
They are playing at home against Villa, this is a must-win game for them after their disappointing display against Liverpool.

Aston Villa are currently on the rise after being poor in the last couple of games, they were involved in an entertaining match against West Brom during the week.
It is going to be tough for Villa to get a point in this game because Everton are at home.
Prediction: 2-1

Fulham v Southampton
Fulham bought well on the last day of the January transfer window, even if the players they bought don't feature in this game, their activities in the transfer market would give everyone a lift.

Southampton played very well against Arsenal during the week, they will believe they can take something from this game.
Prediction: 1-1

Stoke v Man United
Stoke are difficult to beat at home, but Man U have a good record against Stoke.
Stoke will believe they can win this game because United aare not scaring teams as they used to in the past anymore.

Man United have Rooney and RVP back in their team now, they are much more dangerous now. Not forgetting Juan Mata, who will surely bring quality into the team.
It is going to be tight but i think United will just edge it.
Prediction: 1-2

Arsenal v Crystal palace [Sunday]
This is a must-win game for Arsenal, anything less than a win will be seen as a huge setback.
They dropped two points against the Saints during the week, they have to win this.

Man City Face Chelsea on Monday, Arsenal can at least return to the top if they beat Crystal Palace.
If they are serious about winning the league, then they must beat Palace.

Palace will try to make things difficult for Arsenal by defending and hoping to score on the break, but it will be very difficult for them to get anything in this game.
Prediction: 2-0

West Brom v Liverpool
West Brom's new manager is still getting to know his team, but he doesn't have much time on his side. His team are not playing that well at the moment and it is going to be difficult for them to stop Liverpool.

Liverpool were magnificent against Everton, it will be difficult for West Brom to stop their attackers from scoring.

If they stop Sturridge, it will be hard to stop Suarez from scoring.
Prediction: 1-3

Man City v Chelsea [Monday]
Man City are scoring for fun, it is hard to stop them from scoring.
I don't know how Chelsea will attempt to stop them from scoring, it is almost impossible.

After Chelsea's goalless draw at home against West Ham, Mourinho said West Ham played 19th century football.

He wasn't happy because he thought they should have attacked a bit more instead of defending all through the game.

I'm curious to see how Mourinho will approach this came, will he play ''19th century football'' or will he attack City?

Whatever he does, it is hard to see City not winning this game.
Prediction: 2-0
