Premier League Predictions - Week 26

Cardiff v Aston Villa [Tuesday]

Cardiff lost heavily to Swansea in their last game, they will see this as an opportunity to bounce back.

They host Villa a team that is also struggling.

This is going to be a tight game.

Villa will be hoping to take at least a point in this game.

Prediction: 1-1

West Ham v Norwich [Tuesday]

West Ham has to win this game if they want to avoid relegation. No-one knows the teams that will go down, many teams are looking over their shoulders because the relegation battle this year is so tight.

Norwich got a very good point against City, they will be full of confidence going into this game.
This is going to be another close game.

Prediction: 2-1

Hull v Southampton [Tuesday]

Hull won at Sunderland on Saturday, this will  be another game they will be hoping to win.

Hull have a decent record at home, they will be hoping to capitalise on that.

Southampton got a disappointing result against Stoke on Saturday, when many thought they would win that.

They will want to put that behind them and get the points against Hull.

Prediction: 2-2

West Brom v Chelsea [Tuesday]

West Brom got a good point the last time they hosted Liverpool at home.

In their game against Liverpool, they had to wait until the 2nd half before they started playing.

To get anything in this game against Chelsea, they have to start playing from the first whistle.

If they allow Chelsea  to dominate possession, they may find themselves behind by a couple of goals before they know it.

Chelsea are now leading in the league, Arsenal and City play on Wednesday, this is an opportunity to extend their lead, at least for some hours.

This is a game Chelsea must win.

Prediction: 1-1

Everton v Crystal Palace [Wednesday]

Everton have lost form of late, they are not playing particularly well as they were doing some weeks ago.

This is a game they must win, if they want to finish in the top four.

Crystal Palace have been doing well Since Tony Pulis took over. They have been picking up points, especially at home.

This is going to be a tough game for them though.

Prediction: 1-0

Fulham v Liverpool [Wednesday]

Fulham got a point at Old Trafford last weekend. Before that game, they have been absolutely terrible.

They were very organised against United.

They host Liverpool who were brilliant against Arsenal.

This will be a different test compared to that of United.

Liverpool were magnificent against Arsenal, they will be looking to continue that against Fulham.

But Fulham won't give them room like Arsenal.

Prediction: 1-1

Stoke v Swansea [Wednesday]

Stoke went to Southampton and got a point, i see them winning this one.

Swansea were great against Cardiff, they will be confident of getting something in this game

Prediction: 2-1

Newcastle v Tottenham [Wednesday]

Newcastle can't stop losing at the moment, they are on a bad run.

They have to find a way to start winning games, and they need some of their key players back.

This won't be an easy game for them, Tottenham will make things difficult for them.

Tottenham are hoping to finish in the top four, they can't afford to lose this game if they want to qualify for the champions league.

Prediction: 1-1

Man City v Sunderland [Wednesday]

City didn't play as they normally do against Norwich, they were and maybe still affected by that defeat to Chelsea.

They have to get going though, they can't afford to be dropping points now.

Sunderland had a poor result against Hull last weekend, and this game looks like one of those games that they won't get anything from.

City won't want to disappoint their fans by firing blanks again for the third game in a row.

Sunderland will have to be well organised at the back if they want to get something from this game.

Prediction: 2-0

Arsenal v Man United [Wednesday]

This is the game of the week, in terms of the teams involved. Not in terms of what is at stake.

Usually, this should be a huge game, but both teams are chasing different things, United wants to finish in the top four, while Arsenal wants to win the league.

By this time last season, it was the complete opposite - United trying to win the league - Arsenal trying to finish in the top four.

After Arsenal's shocking performance against Liverpool, many are waiting to see if they will bounce back with a win, or if this is going to be the beginning of their usual slide by this time of the season.

They have to show their doubters that they mean business this time, if they are really serious about winning the league.

United pumped 81 crosses into Fulham's box in their last game, that is startling, considering  the calibre of players in their team, why the long ball football?

David Moyes has a lot of work to do, so far he has been poor. He has to show people that he is the right man for the job.

If he wins this game, then people might start taking him seriously.

Prediction: 2-1
