Clooney Installing Panic Room For Wife

Renovations at George Clooney's Berkshire mansion include a few extra security measures, claims a new report.

The 53-year-old is installing a panic room as an added precaution to protect his wife Amal, an attorney, at their home in the English countryside, Us Weekly reports.

The couple spent their honeymoon at the 17th Century British manor house after tying the knot in a lavish European wedding in September.

Amal, 37, currently has a case load filled with high profile clients and security has become an issue, a source told Us.

'They are having a panic room installed,' the insider claimed. 'It'll be fireproof, bombproof, and attack-resistant.'

Amal's controversial case load means 'she needs to be secure', Us reports.

Clooney is thought to have become interested in the area after visiting the nearby Buckinghamshire village of Fingest while shooting scenes for his film The Monuments Men.

He paid a reported $15.4 million for the manor and the cost of his renovations is currently unknown.

With its own library, gym, spa, steam room and wine cellar, the mansion has all the creature comforts that a star such as Clooney might have come to expect.

And for high-flying human rights lawyer Amal it has the advantage of easy access to London.

The couple’s near–neighbours include illusionist Uri Geller and Home Secretary Theresa May.
