Chelsea Fans Push Black Man Of Paris Train

Chelsea

The club issued a statement hours after the 1-1 draw with Paris Saint-Germain saying it will ban any of its members found to have been involved.

This is the sickening moment Chelsea fans repeatedly stop a black passenger from boarding a Metro train in Paris before breaking out into a racist song.

The shocking footage, published by the Guardian, was recorded in the city last night as the Blues drew 1-1 in their Champions League tie against Paris Saint-Germain.

In it, the passenger can be seen pushed off the train as he looks to board the carriage.

Fans then break out into a chant of "We're racist, we're racist, and that's the way we like it".

Chelsea condemned the actions of those involved through a statement published hours after the incident took place, saying it will issue bans to any of its fans found to have been a part of this.

A club spokesperson said: “Such behaviour is abhorrent and has no place in football or society.
"We will support any criminal action against those involved, and should evidence point to involvement of Chelsea season-ticket holders or members the club will take the strongest possible action against them, including banning orders.”

Chelsea are also likely to face a UEFA investigation into the conduct of its fans.

Football, sadly, is the focus of attention again for all the wrong reasons despite continued attempts to eradicate racism from the sport.

Paul Nolan, who filmed the clip, told The Guardian: "He was obviously completely shocked when they pushed him off. I don’t think he realised who they were.

"He then tried to get on again and got pushed off a second time. There definitely was a culture shock. I heard a couple of French guys saying: "I can’t believe this. It’s insane"."

Former England player Stan Collymore tweeted: "Chelsea fans. Save your spite for those on the train, I'm sure you'll want to see them banned from holding season tickets at your club."
