The Rock's Mum Survives Car Crash

The Rock says his mom, Ata Maivia-Johnson and his cousin were struck HEAD ON by a drunk driver this week ... and luckily, they survived.

Dwayne Johnson posted a picture of the crash and you can see both cars were clearly totaled.  The Rock bought his mom an Escalade in 2012 and it looks like that's the vehicle she was driving.

Details surrounding the crash are still unclear but the Rock's cousin Lina Fanene  -- who currently works for WWE's NXT division -- posted a photo of the actor/wrestler visiting her in the hospital.

Ata and Lina also posed for a pic in the SUV on August 2nd on their way to an event.

It's unclear what injuries the women suffered, but The Rock tweeted, "First reaction is to find the person who did this and do unrelenting harm to them. But then you realize the most important thing is my family lived thru this and we can hug each other that much tighter these days."
