A Mobile policeman yesterday attacked three officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and knocked down one of them following an argument along Ashabi Cole, off Lateef Jakunde road, Ikeja.
The trouble started when LASTMA officials attempted to tow a vehicle parked in front of a bank which was causing traffic. The police officers guarding the bank challenged them and tried to prevent the LASTMA officials from towing the vehicle which was said to belong to a bank customer.
They started arguing and before anyone could intervene, one of the LASTMA officials was rushed to the hospital after the policeman knock him on his head with a gun.
When other LASTMA officials saw what happened to their colleague, they started arguing and fighting.
The incident was confirmed by the Head of LASTMA that the unconscious official is receiving treatment.
