Premier League Predictions - Week 8

   Man City v Tottenham [Saturday]

Man City has a lot of good players in their squad in case of fatigue or tiredness.. Some players will be tired after the international games for their countries. I don't expect this to affect City because of the quality of players they have in their team. I expect Spurs to suffer instead.

Spurs won't try to attack City, if they do that, they will lose heavily. I expect them to approach the game the same way they did when they played Arsenal, by being cautious.

City are at home, and at home they are usually very good, i will be surprised if they don't win this.

Prediction: 2-0

Burnley v West Ham [Saturday]

This is going to be a tight game, Burnley must try to win the game because they are at home.  Winning matches at home will help them avoid relegation.

West Ham will be confident of winning this, they have started well, they will be hoping to leave with at least a point.

Prediction: 1-1

Southampton v Sunderland [Saturday]

Southampton lost to Spurs in their last game, they were poor in that game. They will be hoping to make amends with a win against Sunderland.  They are at home against Sunderland, there will be many Saints fans thinking they will surely win this.

Sunderland have started the season tamely, a win here will give them a huge boost. I doubt it though. Southampton won't make things easy for them.

Prediction: 2-1

Newcastle v Leicester [Saturday]

Newcastle fans will once again put their manager under pressure in this game. They have been drawing games of late, this is the time to win and they must take the opportunity. Their fans will be more happy with a win and that will be good for the manager and players.

Leicester will surely give Newcastle a game, they are a difficult side to play against. This is going to be a tight game.

Prediction: 2-1

Everton  v Aston Villa [Saturday]

Everton have started the season poorly, they have really disappointed a lot of people. They spent good money to bring players in, but results so far has been poor.

They have an opportunity to put things right against Villa, which i expect them to utilise.

Villa have been unlucky in their last three games, they have played Arsenal, Chelsea and City. Most top teams won't cope with fixtures like that, let alone Villa. I will also add this game to the list of tough fixtures.  Getting something from this game will be very tough for them.

Prediction: 2-1

Arsenal v Hull [Saturday]

Arsenal has some serious injury problems, they are lucky they are playing Hull at home, if not, they will really struggle to win the game. It is certain that there will be two new defenders playing in their defence against Hull, Hull will try to take advantage of this through set-pieces or aerial balls.

Hull won't get much of the ball in this game, and that will just help Arsenal reduce a lot of pressure on their defence. This is why Arsenal will win the game. Except Hull score through corner or free kicks, i don't see them scoring through open play. Hull will have to defend well to take anything away from this game, which i don't see them doing.

Prediction: 2-0

Crystal Palace v Chelsea [Saturday]

Palace will have to be at their very best to win or draw this game. They are playing against a very good team. Chelsea showed against Arsenal that they can win games without dominating possession or creating many opportunities in a game.

Palace defeated Chelsea last season, but this is a different Chelsea team, they are very efficient. Costa is deadly, he doesn't need too many chances to win a game. This won't be a stroll for Chelsea, but i still see them winning the game.

Prediction: 1-2

QPR v Liverpool [Sunday]

QPR have been exceptionally poor this season. Their coach looks confused, he looks like he doesn't know what he is doing.  They are so poor at the moment, it is hard to back them up even for a draw.

Liverpool might have Sturridge back, they have really missed him. If he plays, they will win this.

Super Mario has been poor so far, they need a lift from Sturridge and Sterling seems to have lost form too. This game is unpredictable for me. Very hard to call.

Prediction: 1-1

Stoke v Swansea [Sunday]

Stoke will fancy their chances in this game, they are usually a good side at home. They will be hoping to win the game.

Swansea have started the season well. They won't be scared of Stoke. This should be an interesting game.

Prediction: 1-0

West Brom v Man United [Monday]

This game may end up producing a lot of goals. If West Brom attack with intent, they may score goals because of United's shaky defence.  And with United's attack, i mean the quality of their forwards, they will score goals too.

I expect this game to produce goals.

Prediction: 2-3
