Premier League Predictions - Week 2

Premier League Logo

Aston Villa v Newcastle  (Saturday)

Aston Villa got a very good result against Stoke last weekend.  They will be hoping to beat Newcastle too
Newcastle were decent against City, but City just had too much firepower. Newcastle impressed, to be honest, they just didn't take their chances. Against Villa they will be hoping for a better result.

Prediction: 1-1

Chelsea v Leicester (Saturday)

Chelsea had a very easy game against Burnley on Monday, i don't see this game being as easy as the one against Burnley. Though i still expect Chelsea to win, but Leicester won't be as poor as Burnley.

Leicester played well against Everton, but they still couldn't beat them. They are really unlucky to open the league with two tough games.

Prediction: 2-0

Crystal Palace v West Ham (Saturday)

These two teams lost their matches last weekend to late goals.

Crystal Palace thought they had done enough to earn a point against Arsenal until Ramsey scored in the last minute. West Ham suffered the same thing against Spurs.

This match being a London derby is going to be exciting, these teams will be looking to win their first game of the season. It is going to be a very tight game, i don't see much between the two teams at the moment.

Prediction: 1-1

Southampton v West Brom (Saturday)

Southampton were unlucky against Liverpool last weekend, they deserved at least a point in that game. They have to put all that behind them for the game against West Brom. Their fans will be expecting them to win this one.

West Brom had a decent game against Sunderland, they were fortunate to have a penalty awarded to them when perhaps Anichebe should have been booked for simulation. They will be happy with another point in this game because i don't think they can beat the Saints.

Prediction: 2-1

Swansea v Burnley (Saturday)

Swansea got the result of the weekend when they went to Old Trafford and won. Nobody expected that result,  some (Man U fans) still can't believe it.

I honestly do not see Burnley getting anything from this game, the Burnley i saw against Chelsea are the poorest team in the league. Swansea should win this game.

Prediction: 2-0

Everton v Arsenal (Saturday)

Everton thrashed Arsenal 3-0 the last time Arsenal visited their stadium, many thought they would finish in the top four after that but they faded.

Arsenal will surely not lose by three goals this time around, this is a much better Arsenal side and the league just started, so Arsenal won't be too jaded, they will be fresh and ready for this game.

This game is hard to call, it can go either way or end up in a draw.

prediction 1-2

Hull v Stoke (Sunday)

Hull got a good victory against QPR last weekend. They will be expecting another victory against Stoke.

Stoke will be hoping to make up for the points they lost to Villa at home in their last game. It won't be easy though. I see the game ending in a draw.

Prediction: 1-1

Tottenham v QPR (Sunday)

Harry Rednapp Returns to his former club, it is going to be an emotional day for him because many Spurs fans still adore him, he still likes the club too. But he will be looking to break their hearts though.

Tottenham still have to address the issue of  a striker, they need one badly, their forwards are not enough for me. They need a quality striker to fight for the top four.  But i still see them winning this game.

Prediction: 2-1

Sunderland v Man United (Sunday)

Sunderland will be confident of getting a result against Man United after Swansea beat them at Old Trafford.

Man United needs RVP ASAP, they need more leaders in their team because Rooney cannot do it alone. I don't expect United to be as poor as they were against Swansea in this game. They will surely play better.

Prediction: 1-1

Man City v Liverpool (Monday)

Man City were too powerful for Newcastle, they seem to be getting their sharpness back. They will even be  sharper against Liverpool.

Liverpool won't make things easy for City, i see them scoring a goal in this game because they love to go forward, but i see City scoring goals too. Southampton had chances against Liverpool but they missed them, if they give City those opportunities, they will punish them.

City will create some chances in this game because Liverpool won't sit back. That is why i think City will win.

Prediction: 3-1
