He remained silent after his engagement to Miley Cyrus broke off last year, but Liam Hemsworth has finally opened up.
The
Australian actor was overheard discussing his relationship with the
provocative pop star in Italy recently, according to the New York Post.
The 24-year-old, who grew up at Phillip Island outside of Melbourne, also said the two would 'always be best friends'.
'Liam
kept raving about how amazing she was, how much they clicked and
understood everything about each other,' a source told the publication.
While
the handsome actor has otherwise remained tight-lipped about the split,
his Bangerz singer's ex has been quite the opposite.
Earlier
this month, a secret track by the artist called Last Goodbye leaked
onto the internet but within a few hours had been removed from YouTube.
However,
not before fans manged to write down the lyrics - and it seems there is
good reason as Last Goodbye did not make it on to the album.
While
her now infamous track Wrecking Ball touched on her sadness following
her split from her fiance, Miley does not hold back on her secret track.
In
the song the 21-year-old sings, as reported by Hollywood Life: 'We
never said that we would be perfect, We only said that we tried.'
Seemingly
pointing the finger at Liam she sings: 'And when you said that we were
forever, I guess that’s just another lie, Let me slip right through your
fingers, I hope you know it’s real this time.'
The
quirky singer also raised eyebrows when she made a mid-performance rant
at a London gig in May, which appeared to be directed at her ex fiance.
But in the days after the unusual outburst it seems she attempted to clear the air.
'Just
FYI what I said the other night at G.A.Y had nothing to do with Liam. I
was just tryin to rile up the boys,' she on Twitter.
