Eva Mendes is in a bizarre one-sided rivalry with Jessica Chastain, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned, wanting to win the coveted parts the red-headed beauty always snags.
The two actresses share the same agent, and “Eva has informed her that any role Jessica goes up for, she wants to audition for as well".
The 2 Fast 2 Furious bombshell, 40, “feels an intense one-sided rivalry that stems from when she lost out to Jessica for the role of Maya in Zero Dark Thirty. “Eva desperately wanted to be considered for the part as she’s tired of being typecast as a love interest and wants to be a leading lady.”
Mendes jealously looked on instead as Chastain, 37, rode the role to an Oscar nomination.
“Their agent is caught in the middle and is trying hard to keep them apart and on different career tracks, but Eva’s declaration that she wants to audition for the same roles has made things all the more complicated''.
