Giant snake kills crocodile

Try as it might, once the crocodile was caught in the python's death grip, it could not fight its way free The python wrestle the six-foot freshwater crocodile at Lake Moondarra, 12 miles north east of Mount Isa, in outback Queensland

You wouldn't have thought a crocodile vs a snake would be a fair fight - but think again.

When an Australian crocodile came across a 10ft python in a lake in Queensland you would have thought there would only be one winner.

But incredibly the snake coiled around it and squeezed the giant reptile to death, before dragging it to land.

It then proceeded to swallow the croc whole, taking just 15 short minutes to do so.
Local author Tiffany Corlis witnessed the whole jaw-dropping even and was left in awe.
"It was amazing," she told  . "We saw the snake fighting with the crocodile - it would roll the crocodile around to get a better grip, and coil its body around the crocodile's legs to hold it tight."

"The fight began in the water - the crocodile was trying to hold its head out of the water at one time, and the snake was constricting it."

"After the crocodile had died, the snake uncoiled itself, came around to the front, and started to eat the crocodile, face-first."
