Bayern Munich midfielder Franck Ribery will miss the first leg of the
Champions League last 16 tie with Arsenal following buttock surgery.
The France international, 30, had an operation on 6 February to repair a burst blood vessel.
Bundesliga and European champions Bayern said Ribery will return to training next week.
Bayern face Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on 19 February, before the return leg on 11 March.
Bayern will miss Ribery against Arsenal because he is one of their major attacking threats.
They will be hoping that he will be available during the return leg in Germany.
