A shocking and stomach-turning
surveillance video shot inside a Pizza Hut eatery in rural West Virginia
has captured a manager urinating in a sink used to wash cooking
utensils.
Local media reported this week that the Mingo County health department ordered the fast-food restaurant in Kermit, about 85 miles southwest of Charleston, to shut down.
Pizza Hut Corp. released a statement saying it was 'embarrassed' by the district manager's actions. The company says it has 'zero tolerance' for violations of its operating standards.
City health official Brett Vance says the restaurant will remain shuttered until it is thoroughly cleaned and there are reassurances of safeguards in place, which could take up to several weeks.
