The police authorities have eventually bowed to pressure and have redeployed the controversial Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, Mbu has now been redeployed to the Federal Capital Territory as Commissioner of Police.
His redeployment came weeks after leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, ordered their members at the National Assembly to block all Executive Bills pending when the Federal Government restores peace to Rivers State.
For a long time, Rivers State has remained volatile following the misunderstanding between Mbu and the state governor, Rotimi Amaechi, who insists the police chief must be removed from the state.
