According to the Daily Mail, the couple took the advice of talk show host Oprah Winfrey, who urged them to have their wedding during an extended stay in the country while Pitt films a new movie.

Contrary to the usual lavish marriage ceremonies of most Hollywood stars, Brad and Angelina's wedding will reportedly be an intimate, low-key affair, set to take place in a small village outside of Jozi.

"They are treating their marriage like a spiritual affirmation and don't need big Hollywood glitz like Tom Cruise had in Italy," claimed a source.

A friend of the couple explained that the Brangelina Christmas wedding will be "simple and elegant", and said that the two are very excited to finally take this next step in their relationship.

"They are so much in love. Brad and Angelina have waited a long time for this chapter in their lives to unfold," said the insider.

It's believed that Oprah, who founded the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa, suggested the venue to the couple.
