Who is Mourinho trying to fool?

I don't think Chelsea fans are stupid or blind.. Who is Mourinho trying to fool?

A few minutes after Chelsea's FA Cup game against Stoke City, the Fifth round draw for the FA Cup followed. Chelsea were drawn against Man City, and after the draw Mourinho said '' if we lose, we lose against the best. If we don't lose, it's fantastic.

He also said ''We have nothing to lose, they have everything to lose, they are the team that was made to win.

For a coach that is managing a team that won the Champions league, FA Cup and the Europa league less than 3 years ago, to say all that is baffling and mind boggling. It is shocking.

Some will want to see it as mind games, but i don't think so, Mourinho has constantly been saying these about City. It is no mind games, he is just making excuses.

A team that has, so far spent as much as Man City, should be able to compete with City. A team that parades the ''special one'' as coach should be seen as favourites for most games if not all games.

A team that relegated a player as highly talented as Juan Mata to the bench, is surely a team of talented players. For Juan Mata to be reduced to a mere substitute, that shows that the team has many great players.

Saying things like we have ''nothing to lose or they are the team to beat,'' is an insult to the players at Chelsea and to the sensibility of the fans.

Trying to downplay the potential and chances of his team despite the amount of talent in the team and the amount of money they have spent is bewildering.

Mourinho should be bold enough to talk up his team's chances in the league and in the other tournaments they are participating in this season. After all, he is ''the special one.'' ''Ordinary'' managers like Roberto Di Matteo and Rafael Benitez won things with the same team, the ''special one'' should at least do the same
