Mourinho and his Hypocrisy

Close up: Mourinho and West Ham boss Sam Allardyce at the final whistle

After Chelsea's goalless draw against West Ham United, Mourinho was furious with West Ham's tactics.

He said ''that is not the best league in the world football, this is football from the 19th century. Too bad. What do I mean about 19th-century football? Pretending injuries.'Cheating, but I don't know if that's the right word. The goalkeeper taking his time, not after minute 70, but in the first minute. Ten defenders in the box. Very basic.

'It's very difficult to play a football match where only one team wants to play. I told Big Sam (Allardyce).

I cannot be too critical because if I was in this position, I don't know, would I do the same? Maybe I would.

He continued '''But at the same time, this is not Premier League (football). The only thing I could use was a Black and Decker to destroy their wall.'

This is coming from a coach that went to Old Trafford and played without a striker.

The same coach that went to the Emirates and played for a draw.

The same coach that used the same tactics when he was in Italy and Spain. Now he is complaining. Mourinho's hypocrisy is staggering.

Was he expecting West Ham to gift them 3 points? With the amount of talent in his team and the amount of money he has spent so far, he should be blaming his players and himself for failing to beat West Ham.

After their draw at the Emirates, Wenger complained about Chelsea's tactics on that day,

Mourinho came out and said '' when a team plays at home and fails to score, that team is to blame, not the visiting team.'' Why is he now blaming West Ham?

West Ham's coach, Sam Allardyce, called his bluff.

He said ''he can't take it, can he? He can't take it because we have outwitted him. He just can't cope.''

Mourinho told the press that he tactically got the better of Wenger after Wenger accused him of playing boring football, but after he got the taste of his own medicine from West Ham, it is no longer tactical, it ''boring, 19th century football.''
