Buhari Unhappy With Election Postponement

 

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said it would no longer accept any further postponement in the election dates under any guise or excuses.

Following the decision by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to postpone the 2015 general elections by six weeks, from February 14 and 28 to March 28 and April 11, the party said the commission's autonomy has been greatly impaired by the military's threat not to give it security guarantee for the cancelled Saturday's Presidential polls.

A baby girl with a rare, mysterious medical condition was found to be ‘pregnant’ with twins when born.

The girl, born to Chinese mainland parents in Queen Elizabeth Hospital Hong Kong, had to undergo surgery at just three weeks old to remove them.

22 Dead In Egypt Football Clash

Clashes between football fans and security forces in the Egyptian capital Cairo have left at least 22 people dead, prosecutors say.

Fans of the Zamalek football club tried to force their way into a match without tickets, sparking the clashes, officials said.

The violence broke out ahead of a premier league game against ENPPI.

TransAsia Plane Crashes, Killing 16

Fifty-eight people were on board the domestic flight. The fuselage is now half-submerged in the Keelung River and lying on its side.

Rescuers on boats have cut it open to gain access to people trapped inside.

Officials say 16 people have suffered injuries, with some taken to hospital. Thirty people remain unaccounted for.

Those that were rescued were helped into dinghies and taken to shore, including a small boy.

Some were then placed on stretchers and taken to hospital. But officials said some passengers were still trapped inside the wreckage which appeared to be upside down and broken into many parts in the river.

Wife of President Goodluck Jonathan, Patience, on Monday denied media report that she was paid N3bn by the Niger Delta Development Commission to facilitate the agency’s 2015 budget.

The report had claimed that apart from the sum, Mrs. Jonathan collaborated with a former Minister of State for Education, Chief Nyesom Wike, in a number of schemes that enabled them to loot the resources of the NDDC.

Suge Knight Charged With Murder

Suge Knight has just been charged with murder in the death of his friend, and sources say a videotape will be a key piece of evidence.

The L.A. County D.A. just filed the charges in connection with the death of Terry Carter ... who was killed Thursday after Suge ran him over in Compton.   

Suge ran over an adversary -- Cle "Bone" Sloan -- and Carter was accidentally struck and killed.

In addition to murder, Suge was charged with attempted premeditated murder, hit and run resulting in death, and hit and run resulting in injury -- all felonies.

As TMZ previously reported, deputies obtained a video of the incident. Law enforcement sources say the video captures "a portion" of what went down, but authorities tell us it significantly strengthens the case against Suge.

Suge's bail was revoked Monday ... the bail commissioner decided he's a flight risk and might intimidate witnesses.

If convicted, Suge faces life.

US Toddler Accidentally Shoots Parents

A three-year-old American boy has shot his mother and father with the same bullet after pulling a gun from her handbag, police say.

The incident took place in a motel room on Saturday afternoon in Albuquerque in the state of New Mexico.

The toddler was apparently reaching for an iPod.

Situation Bleak For Whitney Houston's Daughter

Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina has "significantly diminished" brain function and doctors have told her family it does not look good ... this according to sources connected with the family.

As we previously reported, the 21-year-old was found face down in her bathtub Saturday and not breathing.  She was revived, taken to the hospital where she was placed in a medically-induced coma.

She is currently on a ventilator but we're told tests have determined her brain function is alarmingly low.  

Bobbi Kristina's dad, Bobby Brown, is at her bedside.

Doctors have told the family they should continue hoping and praying, but the signs are not good.

Seth Jackson, 29, admitted the involuntary manslaughter of Kadillak Poe-Jones but begged a judge not to jail him, saying "I'm not a monster".
